Library Chaperones

We are still in need of 4th and 6th grade parent volunteers to chaperone our trips to the library every other Monday and Wednesday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm.


Laminating Volunteers

If you are available to help us with laminating during the school day, please let us know or drop by and check in with Marsha.


U.E. Support Team Meeting

We still need one more 6th Year parent for the U.E. Support Team.


Morning Drop Off Volunteers

We would like to free the UE teachers up for planning and working with students in the mornings between 7:45 - 8:30 am and are looking for volunteers to help walk students from the library parking lot to the school at these times Mondays - Fridays. There will be a teacher from another classroom on duty at these times as well. Please email us at sedonacharterue@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer.


Fall Harvest Festival - Change of Date

Our annual Fall Harvest Festival will take place from 3:30-5:00 pm on Friday, October 28th.There will be tricks, treats, and a haunted house!


Colossal Cave Drivers Needed

Our field trip to Colossal Cave in Tucson will take place Thursday, October 13 - Friday, October 14th. We will be campig out. More information to come.

Day of the Dead Festival Drivers Needed

The UE class will be attending the Day of the Dead Festival at Tlaquepaque on Monday, October 31 from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. We need drivers and chaperones.

Tissues Needed

    We are in need of tissue donations! We would greatly appreciate donations!


School Pictures

    UE school pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 27th from 8:30-10:30 am.


6th Year Library Trip Chaperone

   We are still in need of a 6th Year parent chaperone for our trips every other Monday. Please send your child's library keycard to ease in check out.

School Pictures

    UE school pictures will be taken on September 27th from 8:30-10:30 am.


Title 1 After School Math Tutoring

Jacki will offer Title 1 Math tutoring Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm for grades 4-6 in the Upper Elementary Classroom. Please be prompt when picking up your students.

   Each grade will be visiting Sedona Public Library bi-weekly to do research and check out books for personal reading. 6th Years will visit every other Monday starting September 12th; 5th Years will visit every other Monday starting the 19th; 4th Years will visit every other Tuesday beginning September 6th. We are in need of chaperones to help students choose books and do research.

    Please join Robyn Brieman from CMTE/NY (Center for Montessori Teacher Education) and the Sedona Charter School staff for an evening of Montessori enlightenment. The event will take place in the Upper Elementary classroom this Thursday, September 15th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

School Pictures

    School Pictures will be taken the week of September 27th. More info to come.


Art and Cooking Elective Volunteers

    Thank you to parents Anja Mora and Tasha Gregg for volunteering to lead the art and cooking electives for the semester (and maybe longer!)

Movie Night

Our first Movie Night will take place this Friday, September 9. Seating begins at 6:45 and the movie begins at 7:20. There is a $5 per person entry fee and there will be snacks for sale. Please email us at sedonacharterue@gmail.com to volunteer.


Montessori Madness Book Group

    There will be a book club the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the UE Classroom to discuss the book Montessori Madness. The first meeting will take place next Wednesday, September 14th from 12:15 to 1:15 pm.


Montessori Parents Evening Program 

    Please join Robyn Brieman from CMTE/NY (Center for Montessori Teacher Education) and the Sedona Charter School staff for an evening of Montessori enlightenment. The event will take place in the Upper Elementary classroom next Thursday, September 15th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.


End of Day Procedures

We greatly appreciate you waiting outside of the classroom at the end of the day to pick up your student. Our school day ends at 3:15pm and we will are unable to dismiss students until then without a parent signing them out in the office.

Thank You to Field Trip Drivers/Chaperones
    We couldn't have done it without you!

Art and Cooking Elective Volunteers
    We need parent volunteers to run Art and Cooking electives on Fridays from 2:00-3:00. We can reimburse you up to $25 for supplies and you will earn volunteer hours.

Title 1 Meeting
Meet with Barb Wilson and Jacki Pace in the Upper Elementary classroom from 4:30-5:00pm Tuesday, September 6 to discuss what Sedona Charter School has to offer you and your Title 1 student.

A BIG thanks to everyone who donated supplies to the classroom--especially cleaning supplies. We want to make sure that each child has the following items:
    -pencil box
    -tennis shoes for P.E. on Tuesdays and Thursdays
    -re-useable water bottle
